As an Australian manufacturer and sign maker, Albert Smith Signs were proud to have been chosen to manufacture and install the branding elements that enhance and customise Gregory Hills Town Centre’s identity. The much-anticipated opening on Thursday April 11 marked a milestone in the development of this new community. Gregory Hills has a great community feel with parks, playgrounds, schools and walkways, and the new Town Centre will really add to the local amenity.
Albert Smith Signs was commissioned to work in partnership with Mainbrace Constructions to manufacture and install the innovative signage consisting of high level building signs, pylon signs, illuminated and non-illuminated signs, and a suite of directional and wayfinding signage.
The two centre pylon signs are 6m tall and are clad in ACM wrapped in wood grain. They have an irregular faceted shape providing interesting views depending on your viewing angle. The centre graphics are push through opal acrylic with vinyl overlay with four tenancy lightboxes each side.
The Gregory Hills corporate signage is constructed from Permasign 3D building letters with painted aluminium surrounds, illuminated opal polycarbonate faces with ASTech LED’s and multi-coloured vinyl overlay. The logo shape is made up of a number of different Permasign shapes which come together seamlessly to form one large logo. The Gregory Hills text has been overlayed with perforated dark grey vinyl so that it appears dark during the day but illuminates white at night. Permasign is cutting edge technology in the manufacture of individual building letters of exceptional high quality, with computer precision fabrication to provide perfect engineered graphic reproduction, from polycarbonate and acrylic, to metal and other selected materials.
The Woolworths and BWS tenancy building signs are 50mm deep ACM staging panels with internal frame and Permasign 3D graphics fixed to the face of the staging panel. Again, with weather resilient polycarbonate faces.
Wayfinding and amenity signage were installed throughout the centre. The suspended wayfinders compliment the centre pylon signs in their design with faceted edges and push through illuminated opal acrylic graphics.
Over the years, Albert Smith Signs has been called on to provide innovative shopping centre signage for some of Australia’s biggest shopping centres and brand names.
