As the new KFC Bundy site is located in the same cyclone category as Cairns, our building signs and KFC bucket needed to be tough!
The 3D illuminated building letters were constructed using our Albert Smith Signs Permasign system – computer designed and manufactured. The translucent letter faces are super strength polycarbonate which is the ideal choice for outdoor application and variable weather conditions. The building letter returns were manufactured using a proprietary conformable aluminium extrusion.
The building letters were illuminated with our warranted ASTech LED modules, designed to withstand rain ingress in storm conditions.
The first KFC bucket was introduced in the United States in 1957 and the feature of this site is the largest 3.6m x 3.6m KFC bucket standing 15m high with the structure engineered to withstand the severe cyclone category its located in. The bucket is manufactured from polycarbonate, laminated with 3M translucent vinyl graphics. As a world leader in graphics and graphic weathering standards, 3M uses a combination of science, technology and innovation to ensure the graphics perform for their intended life.
The KFC directional signs are manufactured from a robust aluminium channel fitted with perforated aluminium.
The illuminated sign box is of aluminium construction with a polycarbonate face and reverse graphics for added vandal proofing
