Goodman - Larger than Life

The idea was to create corporate signage that was a sculptural installation and could pose as a brand statement. The Frost design was creatively adventurous and provided the concept direction of a scale that warranted Diadem specialist design, procurement and logistics input, to turn the concept into a built reality.

As sign makers our challenge was to produce an innovative architectural statement built to the highest possible standard, at a reasonable cost, that delivered maximum visual impact.

The Goodman entry statement at St Peter’s is a larger than life arch way that pushed the boundaries between architectural and branding features and has delivered both. The entrance arch straddles the Canal St driveway with road markings used to complete an anamorphic square effect from a given point and is illuminated at night.

The construction methodology was a sand blasted and primed structural steel frame, engineered to specifications and welded to Australian standards. The exterior was clad with ACM in Goodman corporate green with silver ACM internally.

The arch interior was illuminated with energy efficient and environmentally friendly ASTech waterproof LED’s with a wide viewing angle, ensuring clear visibility at night. ASTech LED’s delivered savings on power consumption, cost savings on cabling infrastructure due to the lower current draw and better for the environment over the operational life of the Goodman icon.

The larger than life arch way was shipped in 3 pieces and assembled and installed at Goodman St Peters by Albert Smith’s Brandcare team.

Albert Smith Sign’s manufacturing expertise, experience and commitment overcame all of the challenges associated with this Larger Than Life brand statement.
